FAQ
Questions before you buy.
The rules, the platforms and the limits — answered in one place, before you pay anything.
How many futures accounts can I trade at the same time?
There is no general limit on the number of Challenge accounts you can own and trade at the same time. FREES MAX is the exception: it is limited to 6 purchases and resets in 24 hours, per trader or per IP address.
On Sim Profit Accounts, you may manage up to 5 active accounts at once, and at most 3 of them can be FREES MAX. These limits add up for the same household or the same IP address.
What markets can I trade?
Taurus is a futures-only prop firm. You can trade equity index futures (NQ, ES, YM, RTY), commodities (GC, SI, CL, NG), currencies (6E, 6B, 6J, 6A), agricultural futures, metals, energy, and micro contracts.
Which trading platforms are supported?
With dxFeed: DeepChart, in both web and desktop versions, with a platform licence provided by Taurus. You can also trade with ATAS and Quantower; licences for those two are not provided by Taurus.
How fast can I get my Sim Profit Account?
Your account is reviewed as soon as you reach the profit target and respect the account rules.
On PRIME, FREES SAFETY and FREES MAX the challenge has no consistency rule and can be passed in a single day, so there are no minimum trading days. DIRECT PRIME has no challenge: you start on the profit account.
Your first payout is a separate step. On PRIME and DIRECT PRIME it takes at least 8 trading days, including at least 5 days with a net profit of $150 or more. On FREES, every payout needs 5 days with a net profit of $150 or more.
Which countries are restricted?
Taurus cannot provide services in the following jurisdictions, for regulatory and compliance reasons.
Afghanistan, Albania, Angola, Bahamas, Barbados, Belarus, Belize, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Botswana, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, Central African Republic, Costa Rica, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Crimea Region, Cuba, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Donetsk, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Guinea, Haiti, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kherson, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Laos, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Lithuania, Luhansk, Mali, Mauritius, Mongolia, Montenegro, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Namibia, Nicaragua, Nigeria, North Korea, North Macedonia, Nepal, Pakistan, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Republic of the Congo, Russia, Senegal, Serbia, Sevastopol, Seychelles, Slovenia, Somalia, South Africa, South Korea, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United States Virgin Islands (VI), Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Vietnam, Yemen, and Zimbabwe.
Is this real money?
No. All accounts are simulated. You trade futures on a simulated account. No real money is traded.
What is real is the payout: when you meet the rules of a sim profit account, you are paid.
What is the difference between PRIME, FREES and DIRECT PRIME?
PRIME is a 30-day challenge, extended by hand if you need more time, then a simulated profit account. Activating the profit account is paid once, after you pass.
FREES is also a challenge with a profit target, but activation is included: nothing more is due when you pass. It comes in two versions, SAFETY and MAX.
DIRECT PRIME skips the challenge: you start on the profit account, with a single payment and no activation fee.
Is there a daily loss limit?
No daily loss limit on any program. What limits you is the drawdown, not the clock.
You can choose an end-of-day drawdown instead of a trailing one, as an option. It has to be chosen when you buy: it cannot be added afterwards.
What is the consistency rule?
It caps how much of your total profit a single day may represent: your best day divided by your total profit. Going over the limit does not close the account, but you must raise your total profit before you can ask for a payout.
It never applies during a challenge. On the profit account: PRIME: 20%. FREES SAFETY: 35%. FREES MAX: 35%. DIRECT PRIME: a fixed 20%.
On PRIME you can raise the 20% to 35% with an option, chosen when you activate the profit account (not on DIRECT PRIME).
What happens if I break a rule?
The account stops. If it was a challenge, you can reset it on PRIME, FREES SAFETY and FREES MAX: $85 on PRIME and FREES SAFETY, $99 on FREES MAX, whatever the size. A reset puts the challenge back to zero but does not push back its expiry date. You can also buy a new challenge instead.
If it was a profit account, the sim profit account reset option, chosen when you activate the account (PRIME, FREES SAFETY and FREES MAX), lets you start again on a new profit account without redoing the challenge. Its price is shown on the PLANS page, next to each program.
DIRECT PRIME has no reset. If the drawdown is reached, the account is closed for good and you need a new purchase.
The prices are on one page.
